In-Car Cell Phone Use Impacting Radio Listening!

 

In-car time-spent-listening to radio increased between 1990 and 2003 but has trended down recently.

True time spent listening to the radio* has fallen while total time-spent-talking has increased to 13 and a half minutes among those who use their cell phones during their daily commute .

*"True Time Spent Listening" is defined as listener-focused radio listening when no cell phone activity is taking place.

Sample size: 2000 persons 18+. Sample error: +/- 2.2%
